Confirm the size first
Ask the coach or league which size the session requires. adidas distinguishes several ball sizes and product levels in its official guide. A familiar graphic does not prove that two balls have the same size or construction.
For a family buying online, put the required size in the search filter, then verify it again on the selected variant before checkout. Product pages sometimes keep one headline while the available size changes underneath it.
Think about who carries and maintains it
A training ball needs to reach the field and return home. Consider whether it will travel in a backpack, a ball compartment or a shared team bag. If several players have the same design, add an identifying mark where the maker permits it.
Check the printed inflation guidance and whether your existing pump has the appropriate needle. Do not assume a ball arrives ready for the session simply because the listing shows it fully inflated.
Avoid buying a story instead of a tool
Official match graphics can be enjoyable, but compare the exact product description rather than the artwork alone. For routine practice, suitability and replacement cost belong in the decision alongside appearance.
